The young couple who bought the apartment were open to bold experiments and wanted to stay away from designs stereotypes. With that as the starting point and based on the firms own philosophy regarding the sync between architecture and interior, the decor scheme for the apartment started taking shape. Respecting the architectural language of the building – a rustic one with brick and concrete facades – the same design ideology was continued in
the interiors using a mix of styles.

In terms of layout the clients desired an open-plan kitchen and living room with isolated bedrooms. So the layout of this 4 BHK split level Apartment is divided into two Wings -one with common spaces like formal living, family room, kitchen and dining and the other with private areas consisting of the four bedrooms.

The interior treatment manifests as a melange of vastly different stylistic languages – bit of brutalist bit of pop art and a both offset by the very muted presence of Eco-style. For instance exposed concrete ceiling, faux concrete walls and open wiring bring in the brutalist element while bright colours on upholstery and wall murals represent for pop art. Natural materials and finishes of the furniture (eco-style) soften the extreme edginess of both.
